Natural exfoliators is a key element of any skin care routine, cleanses dead skin cells and helps remove pores so the skin looks its best. It can be difficult sifting through the hundreds of scrubs on the market to find the perfect scrub for your skin – trust us, we understand the battle – but did you know that some of the best natural scrubs are available in your home? We’ve rounded up some of our favorite natural scrubs that will smooth your skin without breaking the bank or letting wash for hours.

Baking Powder

Baking soda is almost a miracle product; They use it to keep your fridge clean, bake cupcakes, and exfoliate your skin so you can do the best face to face. It’s incredibly gentle on the skin, making it suitable for all skin types without causing unnecessary irritation. Mix one to two teaspoons with a few drops of water until a paste is formed, then apply the paste on the skin (and even on the lips!) For about two minutes. Wash it off with a warm towel and finish with your favorite moisturizer to reveal beautiful and soft skin.

CITRUs

Citrus fruits offer many more benefits than the delicious smell. The juice of a lemon or grapefruit acts as a non-washing scrub that brightens dark spots on the skin. Citrus fruits contain AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid), which separates any dead skin cells that are clinging to the top layer of the skin. Be careful when using citrus fruits as a natural exfoliant – it can leave the skin prone to sun damage.

Apple vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has a lot of health benefits and now we can add a natural exfoliant to the list of super powers of this natural healer. Apple cider vinegar has a pH level similar to that of the skin and will bring your skin back to its superior form. Apply it to the skin with a cotton ball and let it sit for about 20 seconds to give it enough time to remove dead skin cells to reveal a fresh layer of skin.

Natural Exfoliators

Turmeric powder

We’ve all seen trends in the health influences of turmeric lattes that are enjoyed and distinguished, but have you heard of the benefits that turmeric has for your skin? Turmeric powder removes dead skin cells, but its hidden talent is that it is anti-inflammatory that reduces redness and unwanted texture. Simply mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of honey and 4 to 5 drops of lemon and apply on the skin and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash the paste with warm water, then apply a moisturizer.

Honey

Honey can do much more than sweeten your tea. Massaging honey into the skin during difficult times will soothe problem areas without irritating the skin. Provides enough exfoliation to remove dead skin and soothe irritations, while soothing your face and making it glow.

Yogurt

For those days when your skin needs maintenance without harsh exfoliation (anything, right?), Yogurt should be the ingredient of choice. Its pH 4.5 is enough to exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells and reducing redness while blocking moisture.

Fruit enzymes

Wondering what a fruit enzyme is or how to use it to exfoliate your skin? It’s simpler than you think. Pumpkins, tomatoes, and pineapples are just a few examples of fruits that you can use to reveal a healthier, more glowing layer of skin. Simply mash each fruit and apply the consistency to the skin for about 15 minutes before rinsing off. Enzymes make all kinds of weights to keep the skin looking and feeling the best it can.

Sea-Salt

Sea salt is a wonderful scrub because the granules are coarse and large. It is worth noting that due to the size of the berries, it is a powerful scrub, so it should be avoided by people with very sensitive skin.

Simply mix one cup of finely ground Himalayan salt with one teaspoon of coconut oil and two teaspoons of sweet almond oil, then add a teaspoon of Castilian soap.

Papaya

Papaya is an excellent exfoliant because it contains the enzyme papain, which helps break down dead skin cells without irritating new skin cells. This is very similar to the prescribed drug Tretinion, but without side effects such as flaking!

Almond

You may not think almonds are a good scrub, but when they are finely ground they are great! The texture is perfect for exfoliating, and nutritious almonds make your skin glow.

Mix a quarter cup of ground almonds with three teaspoons of raw organic honey and a quarter of a teaspoon of ground cinnamon. You can also add a teaspoon of argan oil for additional benefits.
