When the universe was created Lord Brahma was devastated by the presence of chaos in the universe at that time. He thought about creating an embodiment of knowledge who will help him with this tremendous task of creating order and pattern in this universe.

From his mouth emerged the embodiment of knowledge and wisdom, Goddess Sarawati. She helped him step by step to create everything we around us, starting from the cosmos, galaxies, stars to the minute level of creation like atoms, cells, subatomic particles and many more things.

Together, they were able to create order in a chaotic universe with the help of her wisdom and knowledge.

Just like Lord Brahma we are also confused by the amount of confusion and chaos present in our life and how Goddess Saraswati was able to create order from the rumbles of chaos. She will help us to pave a path from the dark jungle of ignorance.

Importance of Goddess Saraswati Brass Idol

In Hinduism, you must have heard of the Divine trinity that is Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. But there is a Divine Feminine trinity as well. They are the holy feminine energy which is essential to run everything. The divine trinity consists of Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Laxmi and Goddess Parvati.

Goddess Saraswati is the consort of Lord Brahma who is the creator of the universe. Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of creativity. Without her it was impossible to create order in the universe. It was because of goddess of creativity that even Lord Brahma was able to achieve eternal Self realisation.

Goddess Saraswati is seen as a Beautiful young woman with fair complexion who wears a white saree with an exquisite border. Her white saree is the symbol of the purity that is necessary for the smooth functioning of the universe.

She is shown with four arms and each one of them symbolises something. The front hands of goddess Saraswati are the representation of the activities happening in the materialistic realm, while the lower hands represent the activities of the spiritual realm.

She is seen holding a musical instrument Veena, a Japamala, a lotus and Vedas which is the holy scripture of Sanatan Dharma. Veena is the symbol of art and creativity which teaches us to live harmoniously with each other. The Japamala is the symbol of discipline, meditation and focus or concentration. Vedas represent the power of true knowledge and Lotus is the representation of knowledge and purity. She is shown sitting on a swan which is the symbol of supreme knowledge and peace.

Why should you have a Saraswati brass idol ?

The Goddess Saraswati is the essence of every Living being with consciousness. She is the source of all the knowledge, wisdom, creativity, learning, music, art and dance. She is daughter of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga, sister to Lord Rudra.

She is also very kind and compassionate towards her devotees who worship her wholeheartedly. Here, we have a list of benefits that you will get from worshipping her :

  • Enhance learning

“Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world”

  • Nelson Mandela

This is one of the most powerful quotations of Nelson Mandela. This string of words are able to tell us how important education actually is. Without righteous education there is no knowledge and without knowledge there will only be chaos and havoc.

  • Boost confidence : What is confidence? Confidence is the ability to believe in oneself and faith in our capabilities. The true confidence comes from the self belief that you know things and have knowledge. There are many people who suffer because of lack of confidence in life. There are many instances which show that just by having confidence people have got over the greatest problems all by themselves.

If one person is suffering from lack of confidence it is believed that by praying to Maa Saraswati will help the person to gain confidence.

  • Academic success : For a student, one of the most important things that signifies their worth is their academic result. It is very important for a student to have an academic result which is directly proportional to the level of hard work they put into their studies.

In India, students pray to the brass idol of Goddess Saraswati to get her blessing of learning, knowledge and wisdom. So that they can perform better in academics.

  • Blessed Prosperity : In Eastern India, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Laxmi are considered sisters. Goddess Laxmi is said to be flickering from one person to another while Saraswati is the calm and quiet sister. Despite their different natures, they are always said to be side by side. It is hard to keep Goddess Laxmi at one place but always follow her sister wherever she goes.

It is said in order to have Laxmi in your house you need to welcome saraswati which means true knowledge then automatically the sister goddess Laxmi follows up with her.
